Today we are going to take a look at the proper way to perform a School bus Windshield Replacement.  An automobile’s windshield is literally your window to the world. Replacing a windshield should only be performed by skilled technicians such as those employed by AGD.

At AGD Auto Glass & Tint Co, We have performed hundreds of windshield replacements on all types of vehicles including busses and RV’s.

Your windshield is a complex design that actually consists of two layers of glass with a plastic laminate sandwiched between those two sheets of glass. Our techs must first remove the old or broken windshield. Much care is taken to make sure that the new windshield will have a safe place to rest. Any exposed metal can damage a new windshield and will not allow the windshield to seat properly. We use only the best polyurethane’s that are able to withstand 300 psi and once cured; will bond the windshield to the vehicle. AGD’s skilled technicians have years of combined experience to ensure the whole process goes smooth.

After our guys have removed the old windshield and prepped the opening, we then install the new windshield and button up the opening. Extreme care must be taken when installing the new windshield. We only get one shot to get this right. Any missteps can be disastrous and easily break or crack the new unit. Once the new windshield is in place it’s there to stay.

We must allow 48 hours after installation for the polyurethane to cure. This creates a permanent bond and keeps out all air and moisture. After curing your vehicle is ready to see the world in a new light and you are free to experience the road the way you did when your vehicle was new.
